RJ Training
One of the most respected names in the field of Radio Jockey training is the Academy of Broadcasting. The Academy was founded in 2003 by Hardeep Singh Chandpuri, who is considered responsible for revolutionising the radio scene in north India. The medium of radio, once considered boring by younger people, achieved new heights with his style of presentation, and today his name is associated with the complete 'makeover' of the radio scene in the northern region. There are numerous media houses that have branched into radio. Because of the high licensing fees and limited wave bands being made available, only large corporate houses participate in the medium. This is in contrast to Western radio, where there are many small companies involved. Further, because there are relatively fewer radio stations and radio jockeys, jockeys tend to have a fan following, whereby they will endorse brands or products on their show and people will listen to only their show.
